Job Description
Our Environment Team in Italy is seeking a dynamic highly motivated Environmental Engineering Technician to join our Federal Environmental Team. The candidate will join the Environmental Team that, with more than 100 staff, provides services on large-scale environmental and civil engineering projects, and in particular will support environmental projects for the US Department of Defense in Pisa and Aviano.
Availability to provide full-time on site support and travel across the country for other jobs.
The successful candidate would be expected to be involved in the following activities:
Interpreting and recording data, conducting analyses, site inspections and subsequent comparison of the findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance;
Monitoring and documenting compliance with quality, performance, safety, and/or code requirements;
General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines;
Performing routine duties, viewed as fully competent within limits of experience;
Providing support to the Environmental Department of the Client, reviewing plans and programs to verify compliance with the Italian and federal standards, on-site inspections, daily management of environmental media/programs including: drinking water, waste water, rain water, solid waste/hazardous waste and materials, Asbestos, PCBs, Emission into the air, noise, tanks.
GIS management of environmental data preparation, revision and updating of environmental technical reports.
Supporting the PM and Project Team in the development of federal environmental projects.

Qualifications
Italian native speaker;
Fluent in English;
Master's Degree (diploma di laurea magistrale) in an environmental-related course of study (e.g.: environmental engineering, geology, biology, chemistry, environmental sciences, ...);
1+ year of experience in environmental compliance inspection, wastewater management and environmental permitting. A proactive recently graduated candidate with no experience could be evaluated;
Licensed to drive in Italy (Patente B)
Additional information
Main job site: Pisa (expected 5 days/week). Ideal would be to find someone who lives in the province to Pisa or Livorno. Availability to travel to Milan and in northern Italy for other jobs.
